ABOUT THIS LIST
My ongoing and growing link collection of art resources on the web I’ve saved, dating as far back to the 2000s; these may include directories of tutorials themselves as well. I divided everything into topic sections for easier viewing. I personally have went through the links and added notes to some of the links on what they’re about (when applicable).
NAVIGATIONAL NOTES
- I’ve listed exclusively free resources. If it is not entirely free, I’ll list it based on the amount of availability, rather than just like 3 pictures and two brushes available for example.
▪️ Some of them may want you to pay as a subscriber for premium content, extra features, and donations to help expand things like photo equipment and any other related resources required for production. Do support them if you are able to! - These are resources I personally believe are helpful to me, I do actually curate most of the links in terms of content.
▪️ Some of the things I look for are: professionalism, legibility, and relevance.
▪️ Everyone learns differently, you may or may not find everything useful for your needs. At the same time, I try to avoid repeating links in information in order to keep each link with relevant and different information. - My link collection has resources that can be applied to any art medium; for this page and other categories, I kept it in general unless otherwise specified.
▪️ If something has a digital art focus that is not under the Digital Art Resources, it will be marked with the 🖥️ emoji. - ⭐ = Important things, especially for beginners
- 🌱 = Beginner-aimed resources
- 🎥 = Videos
- 📖 = Reading focused, no or barely any visuals [Art resources only]
- 💡 = Inspiration focused, can be used as a reference
- 🛠️ = Online tools (FREE)
- 💿 = Software (free unless otherwise stated)
- 📱 = Mobile application (free unless otherwise stated)
- 💲 = Needs to be paid for
- 🇯🇵 /🇰🇷= In Japanese/Korean respectively, I do not know if there are any ENG translations around. A majority of these are from Pixiv and may require you to log in to view them. [Art resources only]
- ⚠️ = NSFW/18+ and suggestive or sensitive material can be found (E.g. Artistic nudity) and may not be appropriate for all audiences. These links are labeled accordingly.
Please notify me if there are any broken links around. If there are no given titles to the tutorials or they are not in English, they are labeled as accordingly.
